Behaviour

CCGPS schools believe students have a right to be safe and happy at school.

To ensure this, all schools encourage positive behaviour through the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) strategy. As part of the PBL program, schools establish several clear values and expectations for the behaviour they expect in all areas of their school, and explicitly teach those expectations to the students.  Schools then reward students frequently with positive reinforcement for their great behaviour.

Misunderstandings and arguments are pretty common in the playground. Kids are still developing social skills and learning how to communicate with others. Bullying is different. Bullying is a deliberate and repeated abuse of power of one student over another. It can be verbal, physical or psychological abuse that is intended to cause harm. Bullying is not tolerated by CCGPS Schools.

If you have concerns about bullying, please speak to someone at your school before the problem escalates. Go to the 'Getting Help' section on our website for more information and for parenting advice on dealing with bullying.
