Our parents and carers

Parents play a vital role in the learning path of each and every child. Our schools work closely with parents, always encouraging them to be involved in a wide range of school activities, as well as working closely with each parent to direct and support their child's individual learning.  Our schools are always open to ideas, suggestions and requests from parents and the community, as well as offering a great place to seek expert advice on how to support their child in their educational journey.

"Our children have received a well-rounded and supported education at Nulkaba Public School. They have been well- prepared for high school with dedicated staff consistently striving for the best outcomes for all students. Nulkaba Public School offers a wide range of programs to suit the varying interests of the students - debating, music and performance, sporting and academic. A great partnership exists between the school and the parent body, something which we are very proud to be a part of."

"Having two children currently attending Cessnock High School, I have been most impressed by the College system they have in place. This unique framework gives students the opportunity to focus on particular subjects and helps to lessen the stress often associated with the HSC - the College allows students to sit half of the HSC at the end of Year 11 and then the remaining half at the end of Year 12. Very dedicated teachers at the school go above and beyond their role and take an avid interest in their students encouraging them to achieve to the best of their ability."

"Moving Tane to our local public school in Year 2 was the best decision we have made. The results speak for themselves, with Tane improving extensively throughout the year. He has been exposed to a wide range of opportunities and experiences which have been so valuable. The strong links between staff, students and parents make the school environment a wonderful place to be a part of".

"We have been attending Ellalong Public School for the past 7 years and I have been very impressed with the standards, values and excellence the teachers bring every day. I have found that my children and others have been given the foundations, knowledge and support needed to enable them to move on to the next level of learning, and the transition between the years and into high school to be smooth. Quality teaching together with strong collaboration from a highly supportive community, enable every student to
perform to their best of their abilities."

Frith Bowmaker,
Parent (Ellalong Public School)

"I attended a small community school and am thrilled that the benefits still exist today. Personalised, quality learning in a secure and supportive environment. As a parent, I am regularly overwhelmed by the care taken by staff, to cater to individuals as well as expertly dealing with the demands of the group as a
whole."

"Paxton Public School is the best!"
