Cessnock West Public School aims to provide innovative, quality education in a caring environment.
At Cessnock West Public School we see the individual child as being the focus of our educational programs, with the development of self-discipline and love of learning a high priority.
Educational programs at our school embed literacy and numeracy into other key learning areas forming an integrated and holistic approach to learning.
The school provides opportunities for staff and students to explore the many creative possibilities in the area. The school has established a working relationship with our local radio station and operates an in-house radio program run by students during lunchtime.
We are an environmentally friendly school. A group of students work together in FOE (Friends of the Environment) with community volunteers to promote conservation and maintain gardens.
Cessnock West Public School encourages parents and the broader community to become partners in the education and development of our students.
The Opportunity Class provides extension programs for gifted and talented students.
